Day 11 Aboyne and beyond

A good day, with about a dozen Challengers enjoying sunshine (yes, sunshine!) as we looked for the quickest route from Ballater to the coast. So many people have changed their plans due to weariness caused by the persistent bad weather.
Two pub stops, together with the strange dry weather, added to the enjoyment. If only long-distance walking was always like this.
Wild camping gets harder as you near the coast, but I’ve found a reasonable pitch out of sight of the road. Excellent R4FM reception too.

Nokia 6300 with muj-mail to publish the posts with photo attachments, and opera mini to access WordPress when required. The phone must be at least 5 years old; this is the first time I’ve made it do anything ‘technical’. Seems to be working OK.

No, I don’t use the phone as a radio. I have a Tandy pocket radio with a speaker and earphones. It has MW and FM and is now held together with sticky tape but does the job.
