TGOC16 – Day 1 – Oban to Gleann Salach

An easy, flat 19km walk to ease myself in, although my joints were aching towards the end.

After a big breakfast, I didn’t really need to have lunch only 5 miles later – although it was nice to sit in the sun and drink beer.

Tonight’s pitch is on the bank of a wide, almost dry river. I had to scramble over the rocks to reach the water. This is a strange experience; hot sun and dry rivers!

Hills tomorrow.
